We’ve started going “green”!  Have you been thinking about it too?

We did our shopping around for solar panels, attending workshops and seminars, talking to the top suppliers in Arizona.  Our final choice of vendor and solar panels was easy, in the end, because we wanted a knowledgeable, local and honest vendor.
So, we went with Allwest Energy, with an office right here in Fountain Hills along with an office in Florence, AZ!  Design, engineering, permitting, and all labor is done by Allwest Energy employees – this is not subcontracted out, as many other companies do.  They design and engineer their systems for the Arizona climate, customized it to our roof’s size and shape, and work with only the leading solar product manufacturers.  According to Ron Tovella, CEO of Allwest Energy, “We offer a 5 year warranty on our workmanship and plan to be around to honor our warranty. We have a combined solar experience exceeding 30 years and have close to 1300 system installations under our belt in Arizona.”
We then wanted panels that were aesthetically pleasing, manufactured in America by a reputable company, and engineered for optimal performance.  We then made the decision to go with the Sharp solar panels.  Sharp has been in the solar photovoltaic field for 50+ years and they manufacture their panels here in the U.S.!

Solar made “cents” for us because it has meant:

  •  immediate savings to us on the total cost of our system with the
  •  utility cash rebate,
  •  federal and state tax incentives,
  •  monthly savings on our electric utility bill and
  •  an increased home value!
  •  We are also doing our part to help the environment!

I just did our taxes and our federal tax credit, right to the bottom line, was $9000.+ !  We also received a state tax credit of $1,000. plus SRP kicked in $13,500.!  Now, with our monthly energy savings and increased home value, we definitely love “going green.”
